Monument City Coffee & Records closes up shop

The coffee shop had opened in April of this year.

Bad news this morning for lovers of coffee and vinyl. Monument City Coffee & Records (306A E Grace Street) which opened in April of this year is throwing in the towel. They posted the following on their Facebook around 1:30 AM this morning.

Good Morning, RVA. We regret to announce that Monument City is now permanently closed for business. We wanted to let you all know how much we appreciated the support of each and every one of you. Special thanks to Sean Bullock and the Open Mic crew. We truly had some good times. Also a big thank you to Angie Huckstep, who brought some great art and some much needed culture to our little shop. And of course, eternal gratitude to all our employees, past and present. Thanks again, RVA!
