It’s a Holly and Jolly Lakeside Christmas in November

Shopping and trolley rides.

More than two dozen businesses will participate in Lakeside’s 11th annual Holly Jolly Christmas on Friday, Nov. 13 and Saturday, Nov. 14.

Shoppers will be able to ride the free Holly Jolly Trolleys along Lakeside Avenue between Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden and Fin and Feather Pet Center, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 13 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 14. The trolleys will make a number of stops in between, and volunteer “elves” will be aboard to help direct shoppers, answer questions, collect donations for the Lakeside Volunteer Rescue Squad and spread holiday cheer. Even Santa Claus will attend!

Shoppers will find vintage treasures, gourmet foods, unique gift items, home decor and much more at participating businesses – many of which will offer extended hours during the two-day event. Participating businesses also will offer special sales and discounts, as well as activities. Food will be available for purchase at a number of spots along the avenue.

The Lakeside Farmers’ Market will host a special Friday night holiday market Nov. 13 and its regular Saturday market (from 8 a.m to noon) Nov. 14, with a variety of homegrown and homemade food, clothing and gift items available for purchase from local vendors.
