Historic Richmond At Risk: 1512 W. Leigh Street

Built around 1900 it was recently placed on the city’s Imminent Danger list for demolition.

Historic Richmond which keeps an eye on historic building throughout the city and works for their rehabilitation has placed 1512 W. Leigh on their Watch List. The Watch List is comprised of buildings that are in danger of disappearing from our city’s architectural pallet.

We are currently monitoring this building which has been placed on the City Imminent Danger list for demolition. 1512 is located in the Carver Residential Historic District. Built c. 1900, it is a 2-story, 2-bay dwelling with a bracketed cornice with dentils and sawn vents.
