Henrico police investigating murder near Alma Avenue, picture of suspect
On Thursday, March 10, 2016, at approximately 12:15 AM, Henrico Police were flagged down by a citizen near the intersection of Alma Avenue and E. Laburnum Avenue.

On Thursday, March 10, 2016, at approximately 12:15 AM, Henrico Police were flagged down by a citizen near the intersection of Alma Avenue and E. Laburnum Avenue. The citizen informed officers that a male had been shot in the area of Alma Avenue. Officers located a deceased male on Conway Street near Cliff Avenue. The motive is unknown and the detectives are continuing their investigation. The victim has been identified as Jahshim Nahshon Turnbull, age 23, of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Shortly before the incident occurred, the victim was seen entering a business with the individual pictured below. This individual is a person of interest in this investigation. He is described as a black male, approximately 6’2” tall, with braided hair, glasses, and a light blue polo style shirt.

The motive is unknown and the detectives are continuing their investigation. At this time, the victim’s identity is not being released pending positive identification and next of kin notification.
