Good: continued high temperatures today! Bad: storms roll in this afternoon.

Good morning, RVA! It’s currently 52 °F, and I’m loving it. Unfortunately, storms roll in this afternoon, spoiling another day with temperatures in the mid-70s. Soak up the warmth while you can, because tomorrow’s high is a full 30 degrees colder than today’s.

Also, if you plan on wearing a flowy dress, exercise additional vigilance as winds will gust over 15 mph for most of the day.

It’s (mostly) official: Mayor Jones will be the next chair of the Democratic Party of Virginia. After some criticism around Jones’s views on gay marriage, a last-minute challenger, and a technical glitch he ended up the only person to file their paperwork before yesterday’s 5:00 PM deadline.

Union First Market bank, which was once First Market bank, will consider changing their name to Union bank. Thrilling stuff, I know!

The 2014 Atlantic 10 basketball tournament kicks off tonight at 7:00 PM as #12 George Mason takes on #13 Fordham. Richmond takes the court tomorrow at 6:30 PM, and VCU will play Friday at 6:30 PM.
