Good Morning, RVA: It’s a bit gusty out there!

Sorry for those who prematurely shaved in preparation for warm weather, make sure to put on an extra pair of tights and wool mask to cover up that newly bare skin.

Good morning, RVA! If you thought spring graced us with its presence early this year then shame on you. So while you tearfully take back out your mittens and scarves, note that the high of today will be 43 °F. BUT there’s supposed to be nothing but sun. So there’s that.

Traffic-wise, roads are looking clear so far, or it could be because no one wants to go outside in the bitter cold.

ICE COOLER

If you care at all, the Redskins are planning to acquire a safety via free agency, staying away from the year’s biggest deals and taking a few mid-level contracts.

Cat news: Chloe the cat, beloved family member of a Brandermill home that suffered the wind gusts last night, has been found! Here’s the story about the family’s lucky escape.

At least six people are now confirmed dead from the building collapse in East Harlem yesterday.

A suspected drunk driver fleeing from arrest has killed at least two people at the beloved SXSW music festival in Austin, TX. The crash happened a little after midnight. There are another 23 people who were injured.

And to not give you ALL bad news, there could soon be a statue honoring Maggie Walker, the nation’s first African-American woman bank owner, in the city of Richmond.
