Good Morning, RVA: Guess What Day It Is?

I’ve had two cups of coffee already and currently listening to 90s jams.

Good morning, RVA! We are officially halfway through the week! I’ve had two cups of coffee already and currently listening to 90s jams so I’m incredibly pumped up for the day and so don’t even try bringing me down.

It’s 69°F right now and it’ll be mostly cloudy all day with a chance of isolated thunderstorms later in the afternoon. But I was completely wrong in my weather report yesterday (Thanks weather.com!) so don’t take my meteorological skillz too seriously.

In his latest column, Richmond Times-Dispatch columnist Michael Paul Williams calls for Carytown and other parts of Richmond to become two-way streets. I’m sorry but Carytown traffic is terrible enough with people only going one way.

Virginia is for Oyster Lovers according to a newly announced Oyster Trail. The guv-nah himself declared that Virginia is the oyster capital of the East Coast and proclaims November will be Virginia Oyster Month. Our state is the leading East Coast seafood producer and this will just make us more awesome. I mean, have you eaten at Rappahannock?

Local radio station WRIR is still raising money to renovate an administrative office into a much-needed additional broadcasting studio. Please consider donating.

I am so over the freaking ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. But I will never get tired of watching this ridiculous video compilation of people failing at the Ice Bucket Challenge.

Kudos to you for incorporating a music video every morning. This one is by far my favorite. Maybe make this a regular occurrence for Good Morning, RVA?

  2. Thanks Ann-Gordon! I like sharing these music videos every day. Maybe Ross will continue this when he’s back from vacation.
