NPR’s news blog is reporting that Florida governor Rick Scott has appointed a task force to investigate the state’s gun laws, including the controversial “Stand Your Ground” law at the center of the Trayvon Martin case. It appears that the task force will meet on May 1st.
Back in 2010, the Tampa Bay Times looked at Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law and found that “justifiable homicides tripled after the law went into effect.”
