Firehouse robbed while firefighters out on call

This is new level of low in thievery.

From RPD:

Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to identify the suspect in the photos who stole an electronic device from a firehouse last week.

At approximately 3:05 p.m., the man in the photos rode his bicycle up to Fire Station #17, located at 2211 Semmes Ave., just after firefighters had left on a call for service. The suspect entered through an unlocked rear door and stole an electronic device belonging to a city employee.

The suspect left through the same door, mounted the bicycle in the photo and rode away.

He is described as a black male, 20-30 years of age, approximately six feet tall and weighing 220 pounds. He has a beard and dreadlocks and was wearing a t-shirt with the Lowe’s logo.

Detectives ask anyone with any information about this person to call Third Precinct Detective Ryan Nixon at (804) 646-1165 or call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000 or text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “ITip” followed by your tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
