Fatal stabbing on the city’s Southside, suspect in custody
At 8:41 PM on Saturday, Richmond Police were called to the 00 block of 29th Street for the report of a fatal stabbing.
From the RPD:
At approximately 8:41 p.m., Richmond Police were called to the 00 block of East 29th Street for the report of a stabbing.
Officers arrived quickly and found a male in his 50’s in the road with what appeared to be multiple stab wounds.
The victim was transported to VCU Medical Center where he died. The Medical Examiner will determine cause of death.
A suspect is in custody in this case and no other suspects are being sought at this time.
Information on the victim’s identity will be released when next of kin is notified.
Information on the suspect in custody will be released when detectives charge the suspect.
