From RTD:

According to Lt. Jason Elmore with Chesterfield County Fire and EMS, one person is dead and a firefighter has been sent to the hospital following a house fire in the 2800 block of Brixham Drive in Bon Air.

Crews responded at 12:50 a.m. and arrived to find heavy fire coming from the roof of the home, Elmore said. Firefighters searched the home and found one occupant unconscious on the floor, he said.

The victim was transported to Chippenham Medical Center where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
