Fan District Association hosting Clean the Parks day

Help make the neighborhood that much better.

A great way to spend what is scheduled to be a great day weather wise.

This Saturday from 9-noon the FDA sponsored semi-annual Clean the Parks will be held in Meadow, Lombardy, Federal, Sydney, Grace Street and Monroe Parks.

Anyone interested in getting some exercise or performing some community goodwill can show up at one of these parks and pitch in. Bring gloves, an energetic attitude and old clothes.

Like the previous two springs the FDA is teaming up with the City & VCU’s sponsored Paint the Town Green (PTTG) campaign. About 50 students from VCU will be in the Fan helping to clean up the sidewalks, streets and parks. Come join them in their kickoff event at Meadow Park from 8-9am. It is a great opportunity to meet and interact with the students, and enjoy coffee and breakfast snacks.

We will all will eventually go to Monroe Park at Noon for a lunch to be provided by VCU.
