Extraordinary Labors On April 25 At Henricus

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA — On Saturday, April 25, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Henricus Historical Park will present Extraordinary Labors: Trades of Early Virginia from 1611-1622. In 1611, Sir Thomas Dale brought tradesmen, soldiers and laborers to establish the second settlement in Virginia at Henricus. This event will recreate their experiences and feature re-enactors demonstrating the work of English working-class tradesmen, including carpenters, tailors and blacksmiths. Soldiers and women artisans also will demonstrate their trades. Visitors may be asked to become apprentices! Daily admission fee is $7 for adults and $5 for children. Some discounts apply.
