Don’t drive drunk on NYE, ride a pedicab for FREE

For rides, call or text 804-525-0532, tweet @ridespoken4 or hail a bike on the street.

From Spoken4:

Spoken4, Richmond’s pedicab service, announced today that they will provide free transportation on New Year’s Eve courtesy of Attorney at Law Joseph McGrath and Lion’s Paw Development. The bike taxi fleet will be running from 8 p.m. on December 31 until 2:30 a.m. January 1, 2016. This is the third year that Spoken4 will be providing free rides on New Year’s Eve.

This is the third year Charlie Diradour, Lion’s Paw Development president, and second year that McGrath, a Richmond area traffic, DUI and personal injury attorney, are sponsoring free transportation on New Year’s Eve. The partnership is aimed at ensuring that Richmond residents get home safely without worry of paying for the fare.

“In an effort to prevent alcohol-related accidents this New Year’s Eve, we want anyone to be able to use Spoken4’s services free of charge,” said McGrath. “For another year, we will ensure that Richmond citizens are celebrating the New Year responsibly.”

“We are committed to keeping Richmond’s streets safe,” added Diradour. “We have such a strong community here and this partnership is another example of local businesses devoting resources to the city.”

“We are pleased to be providing our services for the third year free of charge thanks to Joe and Charlie. We hope this allows party-goers to enjoy themselves knowing we will get them home safely,” said Kyle Langemeier, co-owner of Spoken4. “This partnership has been a tremendous success in previous years and we are looking forward to ringing in the New Year.”

Bikes will be running from 8 p.m. on December 31 until 2:30 a.m. January 1, 2016. Spoken4 drivers will be accepting tips, but all fares will be free of charge. For rides, call or text 804-525-0532, tweet @ridespoken4 or hail a bike on the street.
