Councilmen Samuels, Tyler, and Jewell to hold joint community meeting with Museum District Association and Fan District Association regarding proposed ballpark in Shockoe Bottom and Boulevard Gateway projects.
WHAT Richmond City Councilmen Charles R. Samuels, North Central 2nd District, Bruce W. Tyler, West End 1st District, and E. Martin “Marty” Jewell, Central 5th District, will hold a joint open public meeting with the Museum District Association and the Fan District Association regarding a proposed Shockoe Center Development, a ballpark and mixed use development in Shockoe Bottom, and Boulevard Gateway projects. The meeting will include a presentation from the developer of the proposed Shockoe Center Development, Highwoods Properties. The meeting was organized to provide residents an opportunity to see the proposed development plans, ask questions, and voice opinions to Council members. This meeting is free and open to the public and the entire community is invited and encouraged to attend. This a rescheduled meeting from March 4, 2009, which had to be canceled due to room heating issues at that location.
