City Council meetings now available online
City Council will rollout a new way for residents to keep tabs on Council meetings by making them available to anyone with an internet connection.
City Council will provide another way for citizens to keep tabs on their meetings: online video.
Steven Skinner, the Council’s public information manager, said that beginning September 10th the Richmond City Council website will catalogue video of past Council meetings. In the coming months, the website will also provide live streaming. The new online service now gives Richmonders six ways to keep tabs on their City Council:
- Attend in person at Richmond City Hall, 900 E. Broad Street
- Watch live TV broadcasts on WVCW, PBS
- View TV replays on Richmond Government Channel 17 (noon and 7:00 PM)
- Review video copies (available upon request)
- Catalogued video on the City Council’s website
- Live streaming of meetings
