The move adds two classrooms.
“There wasn’t enough room. We couldn’t grow,” said Maio, who, as with all of their 12 full- and part-time staff, individually raises money for her salary. “I have my own office now. … There’s something about building a (sense of) location that makes a difference.”
Their capacity has increased from five to seven classrooms with potential for additional space as the school expands. The school year will begin Sept. 2 with 37 students from the East End.
