Celebrate the trees

Our neighborhood without trees would be a sad, sad place.

This Saturday hangout with the Richmond Tree Stewards and learn about trees with on one of their new tree walks. Every they’ll be two or three walks around Forest Hill Park and different aspects of our tall leafy friends will be discussed.

Have a question about a tree? Don’t be shy swing by and ask away, the stewards love to help folks learn more.

Folks can also get a different view of the trees, with tree Climbing with Riverside Outfitters for kids of all ages until 3:30 PM.

If you’re looking to plant a tree in your yard you might want to register for the Right Tree, Right Place class at 1:30 – 2:30 PM with Janine Lester, Board Certified Master Arborist and Municipal Specialist. Space is limited, register for the class at the previous link.

Tree City USA award presentation  is at 3:00 PM with a tree planting to follow.
