Byrd House Market finds a new home and name

The Birdhouse Market is the new name and the new location is near the Randolph Community Center.

William Byrd House in Oregon Hill has hosted the Byrd House Market for years. It’s where I fell in love with Nate’s Taco, may his taco truck rest in peace, and where many neighborhood folks and restauranteurs have gone for fresh fruits and vegetables. With the closing of William Byrd House the market was at loose ends.

Enrichmond has announced a solution:

We are pleased to welcome Birdhouse Market to the Enrichmond family. Does this group look familiar? They should because Birdhouse (formerly Byrdhouse) is a leader in the local food market effort in Richmond. This year the market will be leaving their longtime Oregon Hill location for a new home at 1507 Grayland Avenue near the Randolph Community Center and a few blocks away from the historic Second Baptist Church.
