Body found in Powhite Creek

The body was found on Friday.

From RPD:

Richmond Police detectives are conducting a death investigation related to a body found in Powhite Creek earlier this evening (Friday).

At approximately 4:58 p.m., RPD officers were called to the 6200 block of Forest Hill Avenue for a report of a person down. When officers arrived they found a body in the water.

Richmond Police worked with the Richmond Fire Department to recover the body from the creek. Preliminary investigation revealed the individual appears to be an adult. No other identifying details are available at this time.
