Join Blue Bee Cider for a Memorial Day Charred Ordinary Release Party! In true Memorial Day fashion, this will be a cookout — Monday, May 26 from 12-7 p.m. at the cidery, located at 212 W. 6th St.

Charred Ordinary, a traditional tavern-style cider, salutes the beverage of choice for colonial-era Virginians. The 2012 vintage sold out in early May, and now the 2013 vintage is ready for release.

The cookout will feature food offerings from Estes BarB’Que and Goatocado, plus desserts from King of Pops. Richmond’s own The Green Boys will serenade attendees with their country-revival “real American heartbreak songs.” There will be sandlot games of Wiffle ball, cornhole and kickball – plus the debut of the cidery’s homemade giant Jenga set!
