Beware of Powhite ramp closures this weekend
You’ve been warned.
The Richmond Metropolitan Transportation Authority announces multiple ramp closures over the weekend on the Powhite Parkway for a paving project.
The asphalt paving will close the ramps starting Friday, November 6 at 9:00 p.m. to Sunday, November 8, at 6:00 p.m.
Ramps closed will be from Forest Hill Ave to Cary Street.
The following ramps will also be closed:
- Westbound Forest Hill Ramp to Northbound Powhite Parkway
- Northbound Powhite Parkway Ramp to Douglasdale Road (Off Ramp)
- Douglasdale Road Ramp to Northbound Powhite Parkway (On Ramp)
- Northbound Powhite Parkway Ramp to Cary Street
Motorists are reminded to pay attention to detour signage in the area, and to use caution while traveling through the work zone.
This work will be weather permitting.
