Arrest made in bus stop accident that injured six

Four of the adults were transported to VCU Medical Center with minor injuries. One child was transported to VCU Medical Center with minor injuries and the other with life threatening injuries.

From Henrico Police:

On December 28, 2015, at 11:47 AM, Police Communications received the call for a traffic crash on Laburnum Avenue at the intersection of Alma Avenue. An Infinity sedan was traveling westbound on Alma Avenue attempting to cross over Laburnum Avenue. The Infinity stopped at the stop sign and proceeded to cross Laburnum Avenue where it stuck a Ford SUV traveling southbound on Laburnum Avenue. The impact caused the Ford SUV to run off the right side of Laburnum Avenue while continuing to travel southbound where it struck a GRTC bus stop bench and shelter.

At the time of the accident, there were 5 adults and 3 children waiting for the GRTC bus to arrive. Four of the adults were transported to VCU Medical Center with minor injuries. One child was transported to VCU Medical Center with minor injuries and the other with life threatening injuries.

Neither alcohol nor speed were factors to this crash.

The Henrico County Police Division issued two summonses to the driver of the Infinity, Iman Robinson, for reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle while having a suspended license.
