Young professionals discuss past, present, future at 804UM
The region’s business community will come together next week to help foster RVA’s young professionals.
The 3rd annual 804UM Young Professionals Summit will take place on April 4th at Capital One. Organizers hope attendees will gain insight into Richmond’s business community and some of its leaders through the theme: Past. Present. Future.
How did we get here? Where are we? Where are we going? will be the questions guiding this year’s event. Speakers who will address those questions will be:
- Past: Christy Coleman, President & CEO • American Civil War Center at Historic Tredegar
- Present: John and Sherry Petersik • Young House Love
- Future: Katherine Busser, EVP and Chief Operational Risk Management Officer • Capital One
In addition, facilitators will lead discussions in small groups to identify takeaways from the speakers. Those facilitators are:
- Tom Epperson • Luck Companies
- Tiffany Jana • TMI Consulting
- John Sarvay • Floricane
Tickets to the half-day event are $65 – $75 and available online. A reception with beverages, hors d’oeuvres, and music will follow. The event is put on by Helping Young Professionals Engage (HYPE), a program of the Greater Richmond Chamber.

The study of Theology(the study of God’s words to humanity) reminds me of your focus. You are about liberating humankind. This is what Jesus would have everyone to do; to help the weak and oppressed, to help them(us/blacks) free ourselves. You are all great!
