Victory Farms Urban Farm Stand is moving and veggies at taZa

Fresh veggies for you and yours.

Victory Farms has been providing a miniature Farmers’ Market to the area for quite a while. They are now moving to a little larger but more visible spot at 1005 Westover Hills Blvd, across Dunston from the Velaro gas station. Commonly referred to as the “Christmas Tree Lot”.

The Farm Stand schedule: Wednesday 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturdays 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Folks are welcome to visit their web site VictoryFarmsinc.com to learn more about Victory Farms and sign up for emails which will keep you current on all the farm happenings, such as changes in market schedule due to rain and what will be sold that day.

Victory Farms currently offers –

  • Salad mix
  • Spinach
  • Arugula
  • Tuscan kale
  • Curly kale
  • Red curly kale
  • Collards spring onions
  • Green garlic
  • Beets
  • Turnips
  • Radish
  • Cilantro
  • Green and red romaine
  • Green and red lettuce heads
  • Napa Cabbage

In addition to the veggies they sell beef from their own grass fed cattle. As we all know everything poops and at Victory Farms they take the manure and make a protein rich compost to fortify the soil at the farm. The cattle are not fed feed or molasses,  and are fed hay cut from these same fields. The beef is all natural and delicious. Ground beef 1 lb packages are 7.00, a variety of steaks are 15.00/lb.

If you can’t make it to the Farm Stand now you have the option of swing by taZa (5047 Forest Hill Avenue) which will be carrying a limited supply of Victory Farms produce. Currently they have a refrigerated case of salad mix, spinach and arugula in 8oz bags for $4.50. This just like the Farm Stand is likely to change as the crops change.
