RTD dines at Metzger Bar & Butchery

Comfort food hits the spot as we enter fall.

We’ve reached the life cycle in a new restaurant where restaurant reviewer feel that the new kid on the block has been around long enough to be reviewed. Such is the case with Metzger Bar & Butchery. This time it’s RTD that enjoys a meal at the Church Hill dining spot and comes away impressed and no doubt when you look at the descriptions of the entrées.

For entrées, I ordered the rabbit ($20), tender and juicy pulled meat served in a mild broth with braised kale, sweet potato, celery and chewy speck topped with a large, round crisp puff pastry crust.

My partner went with the hendel ($17), Amish chicken served in a bed of rye berries with sweet potato and chard. Moist, flavorful roasted chicken paired delightfully with the earthy and nutty rye berries.
