Patios, brah!

Ok guys, have you seen the weather out there in the wide wide world? Say heyyyyyy!

I’m going to suggest that we’re all “coming down” with a “debilitating, although short-lived, illness” and that we have to leave work early to go grab a drink on a patio. And, because we love you like the fruit of our own loins, here’s 10 slammerjammering Richmond patio options.

1. Baja Bean Co.

The RVANews Secret Headquarters are…headquarted…directly above Baja Bean. If your destiny leads you to Baja, know that we will either a) join you! or b) stare at you creepily from within our brick prison.

2. Ardent Craft Ales

A relatively new player in Richmond’s game of brews, Ardent has a huge and unexpected patio tucked away in Scott’s Addition. They’ve got great beers on tap, and you can usually find a snack or two floating around.

3. VMFA

Art patio. That’s really all you need to know.

4. Home Team Grill

SPORTS! I am tempted to leave it at that. OK, OK, temptation won out.

5. BELLE & JAMES

With a Happy Hour running Monday through Saturday that starts at 2:30 this new kid on the patio block can make your Shockoe drinking dreams come true.

6. TRIPLE CROSSING

If you like fresh IPAs and an under the radar spot to hang out this location is perfect. Go here and enjoy.

9. Postbellum

I’m continually impressed by Postbellum’s wonderful selection of Virginia beers and their delicious bar snacks. More impressive is their secret upstairs patio that has become my second office.

8. Pasture

Combine the down-home southern food that Pasture does oh so well, with what might be RVA’s most urban patio and you have something truly special. The pimento cheeses is truly special on its own, but eating it outside is tops.

9. Deco Ristorante

Located in the Devil’s Triangle, a place far too nice it’s moniker, the Deco patio is a wonderful, larger-than-expected spot to enjoy their signature Sicilian street food. Don’t sleep on either the fried cauliflower or the chickpea fritters!

10. Legend Brewing Company

What do you even say about the most perfect patio in Richmond–nay, the UNIVERSE? Other than: “Get there early because it’s going to be crowded.”
