Pane e Vino Wine Bar & Trattoria now open on Broad

A new wine, tapas, Mediterranean option for dining in RVA.

You might not know Joseph Lo Presti but it’s likely you know his food. Joseph is the founder of both  Piccola Italy  and Maldini’s.

His latest venture Pane e Vino Wine Bar & Trattoria, 2617 West Broad Street, is now open to give locals another wine and Mediterranean option.

The lunch menu leans heavily on appetizers but also offers, tapas, sandwiches, and pizza. Catching my eye were the Arancini – $5.95 (Rice balls, ham, and cheese) and Pinchitos – $5.95 (Chicken, pork, or sausage kebabs rubbed with spices and grilled).

The dinner menu eliminates the sandwiches and pizza but gives you pasta, land and sea options. This time it was Linguine allo Scoglio – $18.95 (mussels, clams, calamari, scallops & shrimp tossed either in a garlic marinara sauce or in extra virgin olive oil, garlic & parsley) that grabbed my attention.

Hours: Sun – Thu: 10am-10pm – Fri – Sat: 10am-11pm
