Find out if that apple pie or jam recipe is good enough for Patrick Henry or George Washington at Fire, Flour & Fork’s Urban State Fair. Recipe entries have been extended to this Friday, Oct. 17 to compete for a $100 grand prize as selected by this panel of historic judges on Saturday, Nov. 1 at St. John’s Church.

The challenge is simple: create the pie or jam using at least one ingredient from the C.F. Sauer Company, which has called Richmond home for over 125 years. (Reader sent in a correction saying that only the pie needs to use a C.F. Sauer ingredient.)
