Food Truck Friday at Woodland Height Baptist Church

Fingers crossed for good weather and food trucks not backing out.

Food Trucks, Kids Craft Time, and a movie night…and a fine RVA Friday night forecast…hope you will join us this Friday from 5:30-8:30 in the parking lot of Woodland Heights Baptist Church (611 W. 31st St.) from 5:30-8:30 (and beyond).  Our contact with the Food Trucks tells me that all vendors below have confirmed for this week—if this changes, I will of course let you know…but no matter what happens with the trucks, the movie time will be held in the parking lot—the movie will be “Shawn the Sheep” with free popcorn and lemonade will begin about 8:45.  From 6:30-7:00, kids are invited to make their own jellyfish—but Craft Time is dependent on the Food Trucks rolling in.

This week’s scheduled trucks are:

  • BoDillaz -“Famous Quesadillas”  http://www.eatbo.com/
  • Smokie Joe’s BBQ – Pork, beef, chicken, and all the fixin’s.
  • The Hungry Turtle — Richmond’s only mobile option for authentic Vietnamese Cuisine. Look for our truck…get a tasty banh mi sandwich or delicious bowl of pho and an egg roll or two–they’re the best in Richmond.  We also offer Vietnamese-style tacos.

…and, for dessert…

  • Mr. Softee – “Premium soft serve ice cream sundaes, cones, banana splits, shakes, and more”

Hope to see you there.  Look back here for any updates.

Remember that next week WHBC will be “Smokin’ the Heights” as BBQ Master Dave Phillips will be cooking hickory smoked “Q” and more to replace Friday Food Truck night.  More info to come next week about what promises to be a great event.  Mark your calendars now!

Remember the WHBC Community survey–5 minutes to help the church plan for our future in Woodland Heights.  Here is the link to the survey:     http://goo.gl/forms/apZ6AyfqU9 .  Paper copies will be available at the Food Truck Court as well.
