First ever Virginia Green Tourism Oyster Roast & Festival at Tredegar

The world or at least a small part of Richmond is my oyster.

The 1st Annual Support Virginia Green Tourism Oyster Roast & Festival features sustainably-harvested Virginia oysters, non-oyster dishes, and Virginia wines and brews – all from VIRGINIA GREEN Restaurants, Wineries and Breweries. You’ll also enjoy bluegrass music by Notch 9 and an amazing silent auction featuring travel packages and deals from Virginia Green Travel partners and 2014 Virginia Oyster Shell Shucking Champion, Clementine Macon-Boyd!

Ticket information is found at www.VirginiaGreenTravelAlliance.org. A VIP-early entry ticket (3-4pm) is also available which allows attendees to have a private tasting of oysters and reserve wines & brews.

The event benefits the Virginia Green Travel Alliance, a 501-c3 non-profit that supports the state’s Virginia Green Travel partnership and green tourism projects statewide. In addition, a portion of proceeds will be donated to the Virginia Oyster Shell Recycling Program.
