Blue Bee Cider to celebrate the Dog Days of summer with Hopsap Shandy and dogs

Dog adoptions, food, music and of course a cider release.

Blue Bee Cider (212 W. 6th Street) is not ready to let the good times of summer go bye quietly so are inviting all the neighbors near and far for summer fun times. Everything is happening this Saturday, August 23rd,  from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM in Manchester.

As summer leads into fall in our neighborhood of Dogtown, it is time to taste the new vintage of Hopsap Shandy! This time around, our Shandy is double-hopped with Cascade and Citra resulting in a bolder, hop-forward aroma and flavor. So great for hot days. J

From noon to 5 p.m., Chef Andy Howell of Camden’s Dogtown Market will be serving up seasonal BBQ deliciousness and we’ve heard rumors of TOMATO PIES.

Sleepy Brother will play indie-folk tunes from 1-4 p.m. A good time to bring your pooch and meet up with all the other dog lovers in town!

What? You don’t have a dog? We can help with that too. Richmond Animal League, Animal Adoption & Rescue Foundation and Richmond City Animal Care and Control will take turns introducing Blue Bee Cider lovers to dogs and puppies looking for forever families.

Let’s say goodbye to summertime with a smile!

Whenever I post about animal adoptions I have to go to the page and check out the dogs looking for homes and one always catches my eye. I’d like you to meet, Tucker.

I can’t say that Tucker will be there Saturday but other fine dogs will be and if you’re looking to add another family member please consider rescue dogs.
