Blue Bee Cider releasing a new cider and it’s smoking

This Saturday, March 14th is the release of Smokey Winesap.

I love nearly any food that has been slowly and carefully smoked so I’m doubly intrigued by something that is smoked that will also give me a buzz.

From Blue Bee Cider:

At long last Blue Bee Cider is ready to share our small batch of Virginia’s first ever smoked cider with the world!

Join us Saturday, March 14 from noon to 7 p.m. for an afternoon of enjoying a new batch of Orchard Potluck made from 800 pounds of smoked Winesap apples. Each apple was smoked for 90 minutes in Camden’s Dogtown Market‘s smoker before being pressed into juice and fermented. This hickory and applewood smoke-laced cider is not for the faint of heart!

Camden’s will provide BBQ fare from its storied smoker (and maybe something to commemorate International Pi Day as well!) from noon to 4 p.m. while Diggety Ball livens up the afternoon with string band fiddle music from 3-6 p.m. Draft pours and bottle sales of smokey Winesap cider all day … while supplies last.

As always, Blue Bee Cider is child- and pet-friendly, so bring your best buds from every age and station.
