Beer and grocery pickup at Legend Brewery

Relay Foods now offering a Thursday pickup at Legend in Manchester.

There’s an old saying, “You can’t buy your rice cake and drink a beer too” or least something like that but either way it’s a lie. You can totally buy your rice cake and drink a beer thanks to this new Relay Foods pickup spot.

Richmond’s healthy online grocery store, Relay Foods, is kicking off a new partnership with Legend Brewing Company, launching a free grocery pickup location at this popular local hangout at the corner of 7th and McDonough Street. Grocery shoppers will now have the ability to order at RelayFoods.com by Wednesday at midnight and pick up their groceries for free at Legend on Thursdays between 4 PM and 7 PM.

“Our free pickup spots bring the best of Richmond’s local food and everyday groceries to popular neighborhood spots around the city,” said Daniel Klein, Relay’s Regional Market Manager for Virginia. “Legend Brewery is a perfect addition to our list of pickup locations, as it has a strong history as central Virginia’s oldest microbrewery. A pickup location is only the beginning—be on the lookout for additional exciting collaborations between Relay and Legend!”

Thursdays are now the best day to swing by Legend for happy hour from 4 PM – 7 PM or to participate in Manchester Mug Club in addition to picking up your Relay Foods order. Existing customers are encouraged to try this new spot. Both returning customers and others interested in trying Relay can use www.RelayFoods.com/LegendBrewery to receive $10 off an order for pickup at Legend through March 3rd.

Relay Foods offers over 25 free pickup locations around the city. They have enjoyed a lasting partnership with Plant Zero in Manchester, where the final day of free pickup was February 11.
