WPA Bakery dished out nearly 700 doughnuts on Sunday

The bakery had a record business day as doughnut lovers came out in droves.

WPA Bakery sold between 600-700 doughnuts on Sunday, nearly double the expected sales.

“We knew it was going to be busy, but we didn’t know exactly what to expect,” said co-owner, David Rohrer, who said the bakery sold approximately 300 doughnuts by 8:00 AM. “I’m proud of my staff for [last Sunday], because I think it was the busiest day we’ve had.”

He said that the bakery will adjust to demand when it offers a variety of doughnuts this coming Sunday.
