Announced today, the World Beer Festival for 2011 has ben cancelled. Daniel Bradford, President of All About Beer Magazine, writes

    What a shame. I am sure the draconian laws the ABC board have put forth are the majority of the reason. Most of the laws we have here in regards to alcohol consumption and sales are illogical and absurd. Why we haven’t abolished the ABC department and rolled their responsibilities into the local police departments is beyond me. Try getting a keg for a private party at a rented venue. You must get a permit. A permission slip for your own party. So asinine.
