Woman darted in the Fan

Filed under crimes you don’t often hear.

Update #1 — March 18, 2014; 3:59 PM

Recieved the following email.

I’m Woman Struck with Dart – not sure if it matters or not, but I was walking with my male roommate at the time who gave the description to the police. I didn’t see the culprit. CBS interviewed the woman who said she never walks alone late at night, but clearly this happened regardless.

Obviously I’m still alive, but it was a bit scary and, more so, aggravating that someone was just trying to mar a perfectly great evening in my neighborhood!

I love reading the descriptions of the culprits in any published reports or warnings of a crime. Though the description can be useful in this case the woman merely described pretty much every young adult in the Richmond area. Descriptions that include skin color, hair color, male/female and defining characteristics like glasses, beards, bold makeup, tattoos and such makes it significantly easier to find the culprit instead of just what they were wearing. None the less its unfortunate that she got darted! Though for the creativity of the assault I give some serious props!
