Westhampton on Grove development meeting set for May 25th at Mary Munford

The plans have been scaled back in height and the design tweaked citing concerns from the community.

The plan to redevelop the Westhampton Theatre has been taken back to the drawing boards and reduced in height, among other concessions made following the initial plans. A community meeting will be held May 25th to receive input from all stakeholders.

From Richmond City Councilman Jon Baliles:

There will be a Town Hall meeting to discuss the proposed Westhampton on Grove Development meeting on Wednesday, May 25th at 6:30pm at Mary Munford Elementary School at 211 Westmoreland Street.

Please join us for a presentation and question and answers from staff members of the Department of Planning & Development Review, the project development team, and input and opinions from local businesses and neighbors.

The latest plans have been submitted to the City for staff review and to receive public comment and input before submission to the Planning Commission at a meeting in June (date TBD).

The February staff letter from Planning & Development Review can be found here.

The development team’s original application and reply to the staff letter can be found here.
