Weather! Rainy Wednesday ahead

I’m looking at a generally ugly Wednesday for everyone involved. Most of the rain will taper off through the afternoon, but there’s a good chance of scattered showers all day long. Expect clouds and a strong breeze most of the day, with cooler temperatures compared to Tuesday. Highs will only reach the low 60s, a far cry from Tuesday’s partly sunny skies and high of 71. Lows Wednesday night will dip into the low 50s, as the clouds begin to partially clear out.

First Pitch vs. New Britain (7:05 pm): I’m thinking that the rain is going to taper off earlier in the day, so it won’t directly impact the game, but things will be damp. Temperatures shouldn’t fluctuate too much, so I would expect the game-time temp to be in the mid to upper 50s. I can’t rule out the chance of an evening shower, but I don’t think its a sure thing, either.

The clouds will continue to clear out for Thursday, as temperatures recover and head back into the 70s. Winds will begin to pick up some (think twice about that skirt, ladies), but the chances of rain are nil. Partly cloudy skies will persist into Thursday evening, which should allow nighttime temperatures to drop a few extra degrees into the upper 40s.

Looking ahead to the weekend, there’s another disturbance posted to move across the eastern US over Friday and Saturday, bringing us even more rain. Some warmer temperatures may be in store, too. I’ll have another forecast on Friday morning.
