Weather! More winter weather chances?
While Monday night looks to be a bit wet, there’s another winter storm chance later this week. I’ve got your forecast for the next two days and my thoughts on what’s coming later this week.
I think “questionable” is probably the best way to describe that’s coming down the pike this week, weather-wise.
An area of low pressure located over Arkansas and Louisiana will approach the coast Monday night, bringing some increased cloudcover starting in the afternoon hours. Temperatures will still have a chance to climb into the mid 50s before the clouds really limit any additional warming. The presence of this low pressure, along with a low sliding up the Atlantic coast, will bring a chance for some light precipitation Monday night. I wouldn’t expect a whole lot, just enough to spoil your evening run, if you’re into that sort of thing. Overnight lows should only fall into the mid 30s, keeping any precipitation that falls as all rain.
By Tuesday morning, the low has cleared the area and we’ll be back to partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will be slightly cooler, however, with highs only reaching the mid 40s on Tuesday. Lows will be quite chilly as well, dropping down to the low 20s, but completely dry.
Wednesday night and Thursday are looking to be host to the next possibility of winter precipitation. What was originally a rather significant storm has been flattening out, cutting back on the chances for that big snowstorm. I’ll keep an eye on the models over the next two days, and have an update on Wednesday morning.
