Weather! Cool start to the week

We’ve had another great weekend, and there’s another great start to the week in store for us. I have to admit, I was taken a little by surprise at the low temperatures from Sunday morning. I wasn’t expecting to wake up at 7am and see a low temperature of 37, but that’s what we got.

We’ve had another great weekend, and there’s another great start to the week in store for us.

I have to admit, I was taken a little by surprise at the low temperatures from Sunday morning. I wasn’t expecting to wake up at 7am and see a low temperature of 37, but that’s what we got.

Monday is looking like another great day. Temperatures should rise to a few degrees higher than Sunday’s high of 64, with nearly clear skies and winds similar to Sunday. Monday night lows should again be chilly, so make sure to keep an eye on any plants or animals you have outside. Frost doesn’t appear to be much of an issue, but temperatures should still easily fall into the low 40s without issue.

First Pitch (7:05 pm vs. New Britain): Clear skies and a chilly night for baseball. Game time temperature will be in the upper 50s, falling into the low 50s before the game is over.

Tuesday is looking like another decent day, but there is some uncertainty into the evening time. I don’t think we’ll see any rain Tuesday, but we will see clouds start to increase again beginning in the afternoon. High temperatures should mirror Monday, sticking in the high 60s to near 70. Lows Tuesday night should run a bit warmer than we’ve seen, but still in the upper 40s.

First Pitch (7:05 pm vs. New Britain): Clouds will continue to thicken Tuesday night, but again, I don’t believe rain will be a problem. Game time temperature will be near 60 and continue to fall into the evening, though the clouds will help minimize the cooling some.

Looking ahead to Wednesday and the latter part of the week, there’s still some uncertainty in the forecast. We’re looking at an area of low pressure moving across the Carolinas will likely bring some rain, but the when and where are still undecided. I’ll have another update Wednesday morning with the latest, including forecasts for the Flying Squirrels and the Richmond Kickers vs. Mexico.
