Weather! Continued warm through the weekend

Record heat is looking more likely today. We cool off this weekend, but only into the 70s. Hard to ask for better March weather!

I hope some of you are thinking back to what I wrote earlier this week:

Thursday’s record is 82 degrees. Keep an eye on this one as we get a bit closer – it may have a shot at falling.

High pressure is hanging out over the southeastern states today, and will provide us with the right conditions to set a new record today.

Thursday: Temperatures are heading into the mid 80s today, making today one of the warmest days we’ve had since last October. (We’ve only had one other 80-degree day since then, that was back on February 24.) There’s a chance for some popup showers or thunderstorms this evening, and we’ll see a low in the upper 50s overnight.

Same idea but a little cooler on Friday, with highs closer to 80 and lows in the mid 50s. Look for another – slightly better – chance for some showers or storms Friday afternoon and evening.

We do cool down some over the weekend. Temperatures recede into the mid 70s on Saturday and cool to the low 70s on Sunday – still well above the average temperatures for this time of year. The chance of showers is still there through at least Saturday night. Lows slide back in the low to mid 50s over the weekend.
