Weather! Cloudy, cooler days ahead

Clouds and cooler weather are back for a couple days, but temperatures rebound by the weekend.

Some clouds have built into Virginia Wednesday night in advance of a cold front slowly making its way into the region.

Some broken showers are pushing across the Blue Ridge tonight as well; they’re mostly falling apart as they work their way across the mountains, however. Some of the line may reform as it gets into the piedmont later tonight and into the morning hours. Some showers could also develop later in the day following the frontal passage; anything that does fall will be pretty light and relatively short-lived. Temperatures will make it back to about 60 tomorrow, before plummeting behind the cold front. Plan on lows to drop into the mid 30s on Thursday night.

The clouds thin out on Friday, as highs climb into the mid 50s. Lows dip back into the mid 30s Friday night.

Things stay pretty quiet into the weekend and next week, as skies stays mostly clear with a light breeze into early next week. High temperatures may make a run at 70 in the middle of next week, before another cold front swings through and we do this all over again.
