Two women robbed in the Fan Monday night

First crime occurred at 6:18 PM and the second at 10:10 PM.

RTD has the details on these two crimes.

The first crime occurred about 6:18 p.m. near 200 N. Morris St., where a woman told detectives she was confronted by a male who pressed an unknown object against her back and demanded money. The victim said she did not see the robber, who had a deep voice and fled toward Grove Avenue.

The second robbery occurred at 10:10 p.m. in the 1000 block of West Franklin Street, where the victim said she was walking eastbound when she was confronted by a black male and three black females who were walking in the opposite direction. The male grabbed her by her hair, pulling her to the ground without saying a word, and the victim told the suspects to take her backpack, police said.

The suspects were last seen running westbound on Franklin toward Ryland Street, and police later recovered the backpack with all of the contents missing.

The victim described the male suspect as about 6 feet, 1 inch tall and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and dark shoes. Detailed descriptions of the three females were not provided.
