Tobacco Company Turns 34!
The Tobacco Company is turning the big “three-four.” Instead of taking a _mere_ day to celebrate, the Shockoe Slip restaurant is making their birthday a week-long affair. Not only will there be special menu items, but prizes all week-long for the taking. And there’s something special for who, like the restaurant, were born in 1977.
The Tobacco Company is turning 34, and they have plans to celebrate all week long. If you haven’t been to the Shockoe Slip restaurant recently, be sure to make an appearance between September 26th and September 30th. You’ll get a taste of what has made the Richmond landmark so memorable over the past 34 years, and have the chance to snatch up some free goodies.
A birthday celebration will take place between 5:00pm and 7:00pm daily in the first floor Atrium, complete with party hats and free cupcakes. Every 34th cupcake will have a special sticker on the bottom indicating a prize ranging from complimentary dessert to a dinner for two.
In the upper level dining rooms, guests can enjoy a three course dinner made up of The Tobacco Company’s signature items for just $34. The menu will include she-crab soup, slow roasted prime rib, and melba cheese pie which have consistently been the most popular menu items since 1977. Also, if you were born in 1977, you will receive a free dessert–so have those IDs ready ‘77ers.
A birthday is the perfect excuse to grab dinner or drinks out. So slip into some party clothes and head to 1201 East Cary Street.
Pro tip–they have valet.
