TIP! You could maximize your moviegoing funds
Frequent moviegoers or maybe just popcorn fans will like this new loyalty program.
Bow Tie, the brand that owns our beloved Movieland and Criterion cinemas, has long been allowing us to rack up points in the Criterion Club® program–points that give us free popcorn, drinks, and tickets.
Now, they’ve discovered another way to make money, I mean, reward frequent moviegoers like myself! Criterion Gold® gives you a free ticket on your birthday, double points on Sundays, free tickets to Movies and Mimosas® and Insomnia Theater®, free “upgrades” on fountain drinks and popcorn, and the tantalizing promise of special events and access opportunities all year long!
For $20 annually! Not too shabby for a movie theater addict. That’s double the amount of free tickets annually, if you go on Sundays, plus the ticket on your birthday. For me, it would pay for itself handily.
This may not apply to you. Here’s how to tell:
- You don’t go to movies more than, say, once every two months
- You are unusually wealthy
- You prefer another theater, I guess?
See you at the movies, fellow suckers!
