TIP! Vegetablize your life

Deep in the heart of the Fan lies a place where the vegetables flow like wine.

There are at least two things you need to know about Fresca on Addison:

  1. They make their own whole wheat pita bread! Have you ever had real pita, delivered unto you by the very hands of bakers themselves? It’s a soft, chewy, amazing experience that I can heartily (and healthily) recommend.
  2. Anything on their menu, which is already vegetarian out the wazoo, can be veganized. Not “vulcanized”–which would involve adding sulphur to harden and strengthen your pita-based sandwiches. But you know, like, they’ll remove the dairy.

Our TIP! today is that we think this place is under-appreciated by the general non-vegetarian crowd, so therefore you should probably schedule your next lunch there. Fresca is located on the corner of Addison and Cary, and you can check out their whole menu here. Can’t decide? Here are some of (our) staff picks to get you started:

  • Sushi sandwich (Lauren)
  • Vegan chicken salad sandwich w/ arugula (Susan)
  • Roasted broccolini with white bean spread (Ross)
