Today is Memorial Day–a day for remembering the people who’ve died in the service of our armed forces. It’s also the unofficial start to the summer. For both of these reasons we celebrate outside with friends, family, grills, and beers.
This Memorial Day consider adding a recipe for White Castle-style burgers to your grilling repertoire. Originally provided by Sausage Craft’s Chris Mattera, it remains one of my favorite summer time recipes almost five years later. Something about thin patties, American cheese, and potato rolls signals the begining of a great day and an even better evening. Plus there’s a bit of spatula-based acrobatics involved, which is always fun/terrifying.
