TIP! Get liberty or death BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE
Very soon, Patrick Henry reenactments go back to just “once in awhile.”
Just when you think you’ve got it all figured out, you find out that the reenactment of P. Henry and his fellow Founding Fathers making their fiery case for liberty from the English occurs only through Labor Day at St. John’s Church. After that, the reenactment only is offered to the public on two special occasions–Court End Christmas and on the speech’s anniversary in March–before its weekly installments resume on Memorial Day 2016.
You can schedule a private reenactment by contacting St. John’s Church directly1. Otherwise, plan to catch one of the last speeches of the year in the next few weeks. Unless you reserve a $5.00 seat in advance, the reenactments are free and first come, first served. Check the website for dates and times.
