It’s National Doughnut Day, and hot dang is it good to be an American today.

Doughnuts are perhaps the most delicious food to ever exist, except for a nice MLT, when the mutton is nice and lean and the tomatoes are ripe. They’re so perky. I love that.

I asked every RVA (and chain) doughnut place if they were doing deals for us for this magical day. The following four replied–which is not to say that the others (looking at you, Sugar Shack) don’t have anything up their sleeves. It could just be they hate me and don’t want me to eat a thousand doughnuts. Or they love me and don’t want me to eat a thousand doughnuts! Either way, I respect their decision.

Go early today to one or some or all of the following, and take advantage of the single best holiday there is!
